The band's 2008 engagements diary is filling steadily with engagements at Falmouth Pavilions, Victoria Garden Truro, and at some Royal British Legion functions yet to be confirmed. The band is delighted to have been invited to play on the last day of this year's Royal Cornwall Show on Saturday June 7th 2008 when they will share the stage with Gweek Silver Band to provide a wide variety of music throughout the day. The band is investigating the possibility of having a day out to the Isles of Scilly, when they would play on deck of the Scillonian there and back and play a concert on St Mary's pier during the day. The band's Christmas party at Country Skittles, Townshend, was enjoyed by all the band members and their families and it is planned to complement this with a summer social function, probably a beach barbecue ,at a place and time yet to be decided.

The band plans to have a new uniform for the 2008 playing season.

Application has been made to local authority community grant schemes to offset the cost of a new uniform comprising a waistcoat for warm weather engagements and a V necked sweater for engagements in cooler weather, each embroidered with the band's distinctive logo, and to complement the band's name the black bow tie will be replaced by a Cornish tartan necktie.
